I am extremely grateful for the weekend away because Christine is truly easy and so welcoming to be around, I always feel loved and at a place that I can be exactly myself. I am also grateful that I might have had some sad moments pop up, they were a lot less since we weren’t at home. Though, as soon as I got home the heaviness returned to my heart. My house doesn’t smell the same and that’s okay just a reminder that a bright light in my house has left to lighten up a different space. I miss him so much. But this weekend I got to play a bunch of games, cards, went for a beautiful walk on their property, and I was able to be with their dogs and be happy to see them.

Day 83

I am grateful for my family and friends because they all reached out to check on me during this time and it reminds me of how loved I am. I am grateful for this weekend getaway because I am spoiled and loved some more. I am grateful for scrappy because I loved him so much and I think of him often. I am blessed for this day because it was easier and easy to be happy in moments. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Day 81

I am grateful and lucky to be scrappy’s guardian because he brought me endless amounts of joy. I am grateful for having scrappy in my life for a full 15 years because of all the laughter shared and for all the funny faces. I am grateful and blessed to be able to end Scrappy’s pain today because he shouldn’t have to suffer anymore. I hope scrappy is running around without pain and is surrounded by love. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Today was extremely hard, but I am grateful for it.

Day 80

I am grateful for today because we had one last meal with Scrappy and because he deserved to be truly spoiled with love. I have a hard day in front of me tomorrow and will be going to be early. Today was hard, tomorrow will be harder. I am grateful for everyone in my life who loves me. Scrappy thank you, thank you, thank you for being you.

I had a great day considering my heavy heart for my puppers Scrappy. I had a lunch with a best friend, I had a compliment come out of nowhere, and I was surrounded in love even though my soul feels tired. It’s a weird feeling having a heavy heart and being able to have people come from everywhere being nice and helpful during this time of dread and waiting. Tomorrow we’re having a last meal with Scrappy. My husband said we need to grill steak for him. We’re going to have all the kids over. I’ve never done any of this as an adult and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I am grateful for all the love that surrounds me.

Today was rough. I called to schedule my best friend Scrappy to be put down. He’s been happy each day, but only for 20 minutes. He’s been in pain and it’s more and more invisible each day. Thursday I have an appointment and it hurts knowing he’s not going to be with me in the physical form anymore. But I know he’ll not be suffering any longer. My heart is heavy. I am grateful for the all the 15 years I got to spend with my sidekick because he made my life so much more colorful and he gave me so much unexpected joy. I am also grateful for not pushing Aidan during spring break for track because we saw a podiatrist today and he could have really messed up his achilles tendon. He has four weeks of no running and has to wear a brace at night. I am grateful his mom paid for half of his new required shoes and that his primary doctor said he’s growing great and looking really good. Most of all I am grateful for all my family and friends for their love and letting me know they’re there for me during my loss of Scrappers. It warmed my heart.

I saw a bunch of people I haven’t seen in a while today. It felt so good to see so many faces smiling to see me and to have so many great hugs. I also had a bunch of yummy food and euchre games.

I did my journal and mediation earlier today because my husband and I traveled to his dad’s house for the rest of weekend. They have new sinks to be put in and asked their son if he would do it. Of course he would especially because he’s a plumber. We just finished up playing four games of Euchre, which I won three. I’m highly competitive, but I always have fun even when I lose too. Just don’t like too when I can win. When I pulled those oracle cards earlier the messages made me cry and filled my spirit with love and light. I’m doing a once over on one of my books because of premonition I had and I love it so much.

Today I focused my energy on catching up on laundry and putting up pictures in the family room. I have these old windows that hold my kids school pictures in them. When we moved Aurora’s glass broke. Luckily, Jon’s mom found me a replacement and today I took all the pictures off, dusted, cleaned everything, and reassembled them. They look very nice as a focal point in my family room. I left the walls bareish for a while because I wanted to redo the walls. But we’re not going to be doing the that for quite sometime. Which, I am grateful for because it means more money for my greenhouse. Which the brackets are coming on the fifth. I’m very excited. Orion and Sirius were super curious while I put up my pictures. They even attacked the screwdriver a couple of time or went on top of the head to get a closer look. I didn’t take pictures because I don’t have a third arm. I know lame. But I do have some before they fully woke up.
